  Caring for Your Sheepskin Bareback Pad

  Proper care will help keep your Jewel Equestrian Sheepskin Bareback Pad soft, comfortable and looking its best.

  We recommend following E.A. Mattes sheepskin care instructions.

  Before Washing: Fasten all Velcro and remove any removable shims or fittings. Wash the bareback pad separately from fleece rugs.

  Machine Washing: Wash at 30°C using MELP detergent, which is specially formulated for sheepskin. Avoid standard wool detergents and fabric softeners. Where available, select the extra-water setting to ensure thorough rinsing.

  Drying: Follow the manufacturer’s drying instructions carefully. Air-dry in the shade and gently reshape the pad as it dries.
